Absolutely a great place to spend a few leisurely minutes and great for children as well. Rich history abounds within the port. A walk will reveal all the best treasure Alaska has to offer.

The second time I came here, the first time was in August 2016. Most of the tourists who get off the cruise ship will come here to take photos.

This is a well kept park right in downtown Sitka. There is a tall hand crafted wooden totem pole in the center surrounded by grass with benches and a great view of the water. Come snag a bench and have a read! This popular selfie and photo site is also near shops, bars, and restaurants. Catch the sunset after a beautiful sunny day or walk through on your way downtown. You can’t miss it.

Beautiful walking trails with historical totems and visitor center. I would suggest taking some time to walk the trails but be aware of your surroundings, we almost walked up to a local 🐻 on the Russian memorial trail. Totem trail provides water front views and close ups with the namesake totems. …
